Hi all!
So you wake up one Tuesday morning in April and think: "I'm gonna start a blog!" That's what happened to me today... For a while I've been playing with the idea of starting a blog and today seemed like a good day to do it :)
The main reason I wanted to start a blog is because 10 months from now I will leave 'life as I know it' behind to start a new chapter with the love of my life. This requires some elaboration I'm sure, but my guess is it will start making more sense as my blog develops. In a nutshell: I'm a 20-something year old girl from The Netherlands. I grew up in a coastal town called Katwijk, but left when I was 17. I left to Porter, Minnesota where I was an exchange student. Upon my return, more than a year later, I started college in Utrecht where I got a degree in Communications/Public Affairs. Apparently I hadn't had enough of school yet by the age of 22, so I decided to go to Law School at the University of Amsterdam where I'm now finishing up my degree (LLM) in International Business Law.
Ok, so all this boring school stuff isn't really the new chapter I was talking about though... I'm leaving my beloved Holland (along with my amazing family and friends) behind to be with my fiancé Will, my awesome American man! We will start our life together in Southern California (could have been worse, right?!) in February 2012. This blog is mainly for friends and family and friends and family of friends and family :P but it's really for everyone who enjoys reading about 'living your life, laughing out loud and loving with your heart' :) It's about change, it's about love, it's simply about life, life of Loes to be exact!
